Tuesday/Thursday:
Arnhem - Amsterdam
At 5pm we welcome you with open arms on board the Rembrandt van Rijn. In the early evening we weigh anchor and sail slowly to Amsterdam where we will arrive the next morning. After dinner you will be able to become acquainted with your fellow passengers in the comfortable lounge.
Wednesday/Friday:
Amsterdam - Hoorn
Amsterdam is a bustling city with a rich history and dozens of tourist attractions. A visit to a museum, a stroll through the city, shopping, or a canal tour(*), the choice is yours. During lunch we depart from Amsterdam and continue our journey to Hoorn. The maritime ambiance from days gone by is evident in Hoorn. The “Hoofdtoren” (main tower) with the narrow houses with step and clock gables create a beautiful panorama and gives the town its appealing and intimate character.
Thursday/Saturday:
Hoorn - Sneek
Early today we depart for Sneek which is located close to the “Sneekermeer” lake. The city is rich in monuments and fine cityscapes. The best known monument is the “Waterpoort” (Water Gate) which dates from 1613. However, the Town Hall and the “Grote Kerk” (Large Church) are also well worth visiting.
Friday/Sunday:
Sneek - Lemmer
Our first destination today is Lemmer. Here we will spend the afternoon. Lemmer has the friendly atmosphere of an old harbor town with monumental buildings and the largest still working steam pumping station in the world, the Woudagemaal.
Saturday/Monday:
Lemmer - Hasselt – Deventer
In the course of the afternoon we will moor in Hasselt. Take a stroll through the many narrow streets of this Hanseatic city. The old facades, beautiful lanterns and inviting authentic shops reflect the rich history. During dinner we continue our journey to Deventer.
Sunday/Tuesday:
Deventer - Zutphen
From our mooring place you walk right into the attractive centre of this city which is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. During the Middle Ages merchants from throughout Europe came to this place to take part in the annual fairs. There are still numerous monuments that recall the Hanseatic League period, for example, the magnificent ‘De Drie Haringen’ (“The Three Herrings”) building on the Brink. We will continue our journey during lunch and will sail to Zutphen. At numerous places there is concrete evidence of the fortifications surrounding the city centre. You will not get bored here! In the evening you are invited to the Farewell Dinner.
Monday/Wednesday:
Zutphen - Arnhem
The last day of this beautiful cruise has arrived. You can start the day peacefully with a delicious breakfast. Our home port of Arnhem is already coming into view. Disembarkation takes place here at 11am. We wish you a good journey home and see you soon!
