Sunday/Monday:
Arnhem - Cologne
You are welcome on board from 5pm. After the crew has been introduced to you, we cast off and set sail for our first destination, Cologne, where we will arrive tomorrow around noon. After dinner you can make plans for the coming days in the lounge.
Monday/Tuesday:
Cologne - Bonn
The towers of the mighty Cologne Cathedral dominate the silhouette of this interesting city. There is enough time to discover Cologne. You can view the Dom, visit one of the many museums or walk through the immensely large city centre and then settle down on one of the many terraces. During dinner we continue our journey to the former capital of West Germany Bonn.
Tuesday/Wednesday:
Bonn - Koblenz
You have until noon to explore Bonn. The pedestrian area in the centre is one of the largest in Germany. Shops are plentiful in the cosy, narrow streets and around the attractive squares. Well-known shopping streets include Bonngasse, Poststrasse and the fully modernized Friedrichstrasse. Or would you rather visit Beethoven's birthplace? On the way to Koblenz, the environment along the river slowly starts to change and the first vineyards come into view.
Wednesday/Thursday:
Koblenz – Königswinter – Cologne / Düsseldorf *
One of the trips you can make on your own in Koblenz is to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. From the boulevard, you can float spectacularly over the Rhine by cable car to this castle. Enjoy the breath-taking view of the picturesque city of Koblenz and the Deutsche Eck. This is the point where the Moselle flows into the Rhine. Around noon we turn the bow and sail downstream towards Königswinter. This wine town on the Rhine is best known for the Drachenfels high above the city. The ruins of this castle can be reached by cog railway. Meanwhile, the kitchen brigade is busy preparing the Farewell Dinner for tonight.
Thursday/Friday:
Cologne / Düsseldorf * – Arnhem (bus transfer)
The last day has already arrived. After breakfast we say goodbye to you and the busses will take you back to Arnhem where you will arrive around noon.
(*) For the Mini cruise departing on October 9th, the cruise will end in Düsseldorf instead of Cologne. On day 4 of the cruise we depart Königswinter during dinner and sail to Düsseldorf where we will arrive around midnight. The next morning after breakfast we say goodbye to you and the busses are ready to take you from Düsseldorf to Arnhem.
