Monday/Saturday
Arnhem – Düsseldorf
Embarkation for this cruise takes place as always in Arnhem. At 09:30 we start up the engines and sail towards Düsseldorf. On the way the crew will be introduced and you can meet your fellow passengers. During the evening we will arrive in Düsseldorf.
Tuesday/Sunday:
Düsseldorf - Bonn
Bonn is a modern and lively city with a history going back a long time. The historic centre with its extensive pedestrianised area is perfect for a pleasant walk. In addition to the beautiful buildings you will also find the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven here.
Wednesday/Monday:
Bonn - Andernach
The first wooded hillsides with castles or ruins appear on the banks in the morning. We reach Andernach during lunch. You can walk along a wide boulevard and through the city gates into the town. This old Roman town has the Eifel as its background. This was formerly a volcanic area where the remains of a cold water geyser can still be seen just outside the town.
Thursday/Tuesday:
Andernach - Cochem - Alken
After all the traffic on the busy Rhine, you will be overcome by serenity in the beautiful Moselle Valley. The steep vineyard covered hillsides on both sides of the river will ensure an unforgettable day. Cochem is a lively tourist town and the busy centre has everything on offer. You’ll get wonderful views of the river valley from high up on the Reichsburg. After dinner we continue our journey to Alken where we stay overnight.
Friday/Wednesday:
Alken - Boppard
At Koblenz we leave the Moselle for the Rhine at about midday. It won’t be long before we moor in Boppard. You can look around the quaint centre or take the cable car over the vineyards to the Vierseenblick (four lakes view) from where you’ll have lovely views of the Rhine area.
Saturday/Thursday:
Boppard - Rüdesheim
After passing the Lorelei, Rüdesheim soon comes into view. This renowned wine town is famous for its many wine bars, historic half-timbered houses and the Drosselgasse. In this small alleyway, you can enjoy a delicious local Riesling in one of the many wine bars. Rüdesheim offers many attractions such as the famous Niederwalddenkmal and the Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett.
Sunday/Friday:
Rüdesheim - Koblenz
In the morning we will once again pass the Lorelei and part of the romantic Rhine. We’ll arrive in Koblenz just before lunch, where you will find plenty of pleasant squares and alleyways in the centre. In addition to beautiful buildings and monuments there are many wine bars with pavement cafes and modern shopping streets.
Monday/Saturday:
Koblenz - Cologne - Düsseldorf
We weigh anchor early so we can be in Cologne in good time. You’ll have plenty of time to visit the Dom (Cathedral) or to stroll through the shopping streets in Cologne’s Altstadt (Old Town). In the evening you are invited to the Captains Dinner while the ship sails on towards Düsseldorf.
Tuesday/Sunday:
Düsseldorf - Arnhem
This wonderful holiday is almost over. We leave Düsseldorf early and set sail towards the Netherlands. We’ll dock in Arnhem at 14:00 from where we take our leave of you
